Boston College vs. Florida State: BC COVERS THE SPREAD! - Preview & Final Prediction
Boston College (1-2, 0-1 ACC) will be traveling to Tallahassee to play Florida State (3-0, 1-0 ACC) this Saturday Night. This will be the third night game in a row that the Eagles have played in - kickoff will be at 8:00PM ET from Doak Campbell Stadium and will be nationally televised on the ACC Network (ACCN).
Last year when these two teams played, BC lost to FSU 23-26. Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis threw for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns to win that game. Travis returned to practice this Wednesday after suffering a lower leg injury against Louisville last week, but his status for Saturday's game remains uncertain. While the FSU starting quarterback may be limited, make no mistake - the Florida State Seminoles are relevant again, and this will be the biggest test yet for this struggling Boston College squad.
However, there is hope BC Football Fans: FSU's backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker is inexperienced, and the Seminoles will most likely rely on their ground game to take the pressure off of him. Expect the Eagles to load the box and force the young QB to beat them through the air. Something to note: BC's defense has held up against the run so far this year, holding teams to only 3.8 yards per carry.
So Boston College Football Fans, everything points to this being a blowout loss for the Eagles, but there is a small amount of hope for what would be a huge upset. Everything will have to go right - the defense will have to play extraordinary and FSU will probably have to make some huge mistakes, but there is a chance that Boston College gets their first ACC win of the season. #RollEags

Does BC Cover The Spread?
YES! Boston College covers the spread. Something about this game says turnovers and timely defense...
EDIT (updated at 10:00am 9/24/22): Jordan Travis will start the game for Florida State against Boston College.
If right before the game they announce that Jordan Travis is healthy enough to play, we suggest pulling your bet immediately. However, having said that, when you take away the threat of a mobile quarterback and replace it with an inexperienced quarterback who will be challenged to beat BC's talented secondary - we are going to put our money on the Boston College Defense.
We even suggest betting the under - there will be turnovers and it will look ugly, both teams will struggle to score in stretches throughout the game.
Final Score: 19-27 (BC LOSES)
However, Boston College loses this game, but it will be much closer than most BC Football Fans expect.
The BC run defense will take another step forward, while the secondary will take advantage of either an inexperienced or limited quarterback and create timely turnovers in this game. Also, the Seminoles defensive line is significantly banged up, and we expect Phil Jurkovec to finally have some time in the pocket (at least on a few plays) to connect with his talented receivers that will keep BC in the game for a while.
